And That’s All Folks?

Yesterday it was announced on David Cook Official that his sophomore CD is forthcoming and if you pre-ordered it you would would receive a free download of Baldy singing “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” for this year’s American Idol.

D’oh! I can hear the hardcore frauen fapping to this already.

As the album release date approaches along with the Cancer Run thingee we’ll be witnessing more witless tacky behavior. I can’t wait!

Adam Lambert has been thrilling the Sparkle Cow herd by posting about not wanting to see a sea of his photos when he’s on Twitter as everyone’s avatar. It’s led to some very cringe-worthy Glamphotos by the herd.

So who all will have the huge crazy fan following this year? Will it be Turbin and his screechy Madam-alike ways or someone else?

I will admit to tarding a bit this morning, but it was in the privacy of my own home. And yes, I did pre-order the new album. πŸ˜›

FDC, from what I hear, the Glamberts don’t really care for James. Apparently, according to them, he is a pale comparison. Madam may be sorry he’s asked the herd to change their avi’s. Perhaps in a few days he’ll retract his request (once he gets his eyesight back).

It seems a lot of the Cooktards are liking Paul McDonald.

    • on the edge Says:

Yep, today I’m allowing myself to tard (with Arcade Fire and Miranda Lambert breaks so I don’t burn out). And I don’t fucking care. But yes, the va-jay-jays are exploding like it’s the 4th of July out there. Jestro have mercy on us all.

Nonna I’m seeing a lot of “Pauly Whites” love out there too.

      • nonna-muss Says:

Yes OTE, I did allow myself a little tarding, but just a little.

        I did not:
        *Le Sigh

Nor did my va-jay-jay explode because as you said, there was enough of that happening on twitter.

Yup, Pauly… a lot of them think he looks like Cook.

      • Dani Says:

        Or, my personal fav, GUH!

      • Dani Says:

        Or is it GAH?

      • nonna-muss Says:

I will admit to guhhing. Thanks for outing me Dani! πŸ˜‰

  2. Cooks_FUFL Says:

I have to say that Cook’s version of “DYFAM” is–very karaoke, in my humble (but honest) opinion. I guess what I knew was coming has finally happened. I am done tarding, and I am “over” it. It honestly feels good! πŸ™‚

    • Dani Says:

I also downloaded the freebie and even though I was happy for ANY new music (even if it is a cover) I think the song clip they had starting off the ET interview was more suited to the masses for an AI exit song. But that’s just my opinion.

    • Karen Says:

What were they thinking releasing a cover tune as the first song heard off the new album? Cook is capable of some great songs (certainly more from his pre-Idol days than afterwards).
It makes me think about when Clapton let producer Babyface get into the recording studio with him back in the 90s. Goodbye Layla, hello Change the World. Clapton hasn’t rocked since.
This is a major creative error on someone’s part.

      • on the edge Says:

(You have permission to bitch slap me for knowing this, JSYK)
It won’t be on the album and is not “the” single. It was produced specifically for the show. But the media is lazy and just like the tardiest of tards; all they hear is “NEW COOK MUSIC” and jump to conclusions.

      • Karen Says:

Well thank goodness for small mercies! But why “waste” time in the studio working on promotional drivel for American Idol?
Cook needs to distance himself from AI in order to ever be taken seriously by the music industry. If he isn’t careful, exposure like this is never going to get him past “I won American Idol, once, you know?”.
Remember Jeff Conaway during one of his many stints on Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab. “Hey, I was on a show called Taxi once!!!”
Confucius says “Never bitch slap one who knows more than you know.”

  3. Rubber Ducky Says:

πŸ˜† wow what a career boost. More karaoke! πŸ˜†

  4. Karen Says:

Is it wrong to feel slightly disturbed about comments made on Twitter such as this?

(names changed to protect the “innocent”)

RT @*aimeLovesDC U know ur one of HIS people when ur non-DC afn friends tell you they think of U as soon as they see something DC related. 11:43 PM Mar 4th via web

I alwas thought that the capitalised version of “HIS” was reserved for dieties and the like. Sure I am a fan, but this kind of thinking is weird on so many levels.

    • nonna-muss Says:

Karen, the HIS people is because he misspoke and instead of saying “his fans” he said “his people” (but quickly corrected himself). Now the herd is all excited because the are HIS people. Not to be God-like with the spelling, just to put emphasis on the word his. It is getting on my last nerve too, as well as them calling the Idol song Das Boot. If I have to read that one more time I’ll puke.

  5. Natasha Says:

Nigel will not let a 4th WGWG in a row win…he’ll resort to stuffing ballot boxes himself to prevent that. Sorry Cooktards, Paulie is doomed.

    • on the edge Says:

I actually hope he doesn’t win. God help me I kinda like The Grand Magnolias, and no way in hell will the 19 suits allow a band to get more name recognition than “American Idol Paul McDonald.” He’d be better off getting booted early in the finals.

Plus I’m this close to getting fed up with him anyway. Dude, I don’t even follow you and I can tell you are TWEETING TOO MUCH.

      • nonna-muss Says:

Cook’s album is coming out in May which means his single will come out sooner. That means he’ll be making all kinds of TV and radio appearances. The Cooktards will be too busy talking about every appearance he makes for the entire week before and after each one. They will have no time for the likes of Pauly.

      • freedavidcook Says:

I hear the whirr of a thousand vibrators revving up in anticipation of the new record. Wonder what it feels like to be masturbation fantasy fodder for people old enough to have pushed him out of their own vaginas?

  6. Karen Says:

Hey now…A little less of the “people old enough to have pushed him out of their own vaginas” talk. That made me snert my Ensure out my nose!!!
I needed that laugh this morning. Now where did I put those batteries ?Not!!!!

  7. Natasha Says:

Paul does tweet too much. Gives too much information. What was this a few weeks ago about his damaged vocal cord that could only be solved by surgery or complete vocal rest? I guess a miracle happened. And yeah, he will be left in the dust when Cook’s new stuff starts showing up.

    • on the edge Says:

Hell, maybe that’s the only way he can communicate? I remember losing my voice once…I “talked” via typing a text and showing the phone to whoever I was talking to (I didn’t actually SEND them, of course).

  8. l Says:

The Cook fandom is f-ing nuts.

Anyone here going to Race for Hope? Apparently some of them are actually going to “run” this year. Oh dear.

Oh, and the Joey tard almost had a heart attack when he tweeted about losing a bet and cutting his hair (though it turned out he was just hiding it behind a hat). Several people on twitter had to console her.
If it wasn’t so disturbing, it would be kind of funny.

  9. nonna-muss Says:

    *NEWSFLASH* Paul McDonald is screwed.

Cook said his favorite is Casey Abrams on a radio interview this morning. The Cooktards will be power dialing to vote for him so that David will not be disappointed. Buh-bye Pauly.

    • on the edge Says:

Plus the Cooktards are already booking their flights to Vegas to see him perform at that “Pet-a-Palooza” (with the dreaded TRAIN, ugh). There will be no “moving on” for the hard-core frauen this season. RCA has timed his promotion PERFECTLY (poor guy).

      • nonna-muss Says:

I absolutely cannot believe how many of them have already booked flights and hotel rooms. A month or so after the Pet-a-Palooza he’ll be going on tour and most likely coming somewhere near most of them. They can’t wait for that???

      • Jen Says:

They’re not even selling tickets in advance to this thing I guess. Hope it doesn’t sell out. haha

      • on the edge Says:

Nonna, of course not…it’s “De Tewer II!” They’ll take a year-long sabbatical from work/family/life to follow their BB all over the country, all over again. They are junkies in withdrawl, and their next fix is just within reach. While sane people (like you and me) will wait until he comes reasonably close to our towns, or in my case (since I’m in BFE) the next closest city. And if he doesn’t? C’est la vie *shrug*.

  10. MmmmBop Says:

Please, enlighten me. Unless you go to Cook or Lambert fansites and peruse them, how the f!ck you know what each fandom is going to do?? Are you fans of either dude??
And don’t insult my miniscule intelligence telling me that “someone” send you that info.

    • nonna-muss Says:

It’s no big secret that OTE and I are Cook fans. We’ve never pretended not to be. We are discussing Cook TARDS. Fans buy his record and go to a show at a town near them. TARDS buy 88 copies of the record and fly all over the country to go to any and as many shows as possible.

The tweets are flying telling him that they bought plane tickets, booked hotel rooms. It’s easy enough to look at his time line. For some reason they feel the need to tell him as if he gives a shit.

      • MmmmBop Says:

I see. You read tweets send TO Cook.
So fan who buys 1 copy of the record, but goes to more than show (because she/he can) is called Half-Tard ???
Personally I don’t see anything wrong with seeing my favourite artist in LIVE concert more than once. Usually each concert is different, while CD always sound the same.

      • freedavidcook Says:

Yeah but do you bankrupt your family to go to more than one show? Act obnoxious to the other fans and the band? Put electronic trackers under tour bus?

        Didn’t think so.

      • MmmmBop Says:

Since I’m not fan of Baldy I’ll be in minority here.
You don’t mind if I call Cook Baldy, do you?
When I said I’m not fan of Baldy, I mean I don’t care for him or his music. I don’t read his tweets, go to his fansite, don’t google him and don’t give a sh!t what his crazy fans are doing.
Electronic trackes under tour bus??? That’s fresh and entertaining idea. But – what for??
Sadly I see to many memes brought to this blog from TopIdol, I wish you come up with something original.

      • freedavidcook Says:

Call him whatever you like I’m no Baldy fan either….. but I am addicted to the doings of his crazy cake fans… it’s like watching a bus filled with scamming televangelists on fire going over a cliff into a sea of rapacious crocodiles. You know it’s going to be ugly, you know it’s going to be bloody, you know it’s stupid but you cannot look away.

No idea why someone put a tracker under the bus but it did happen.

      • MmmmBop Says:

I didn’t know that Cooktards (is that their name?) are in serious competition with BCS section of Glamberts.
Trust me, sane Lambert’s fans hate that fraction of Lambert fandom as much as any uninvested person.Who wants to be lumped together with likes of Kerry Kolsch???

      • freedavidcook Says:

I get that. Like I said I actually have a few Adam songs on my Ipod that I listen to at the gym. It’s not the normal fans I take issue with, it’s the over the top ones that ruin it for everyone.

The only Idols who’s music is on my Ipod is Adam and Crystal Bowersox. Now I adore her CD but I’m not about to act demented over her. I would pay to see her in concert.

  11. MmmmBop Says:

FreeDavidCook, do you look like your “The Scream” avi? This would give Lambert nightmares, for sure.

    • freedavidcook Says:

Nope, I have nicer teeths and hair.

      • MmmmBop Says:

I think that idea behind Lambert’s plea to use people’s own photos as an avi was to encourage them to be themselves. It takes some guts to post your picture for all Internet to see, don’t you think?

      • freedavidcook Says:

He did the right thing calling them out to use their own photos. Other celebs on twitter have done the same thing. But seriously, why post photos of yourself doing unflattering things (and I’m not just talking tard here Facebook abounds with it) or getting wasted or in some bizarre get up. Why not normal everyday this is what I look like? Better to use an avi if you’re just going to post silly crap photos

      • MmmmBop Says:

I really can’t judge people on how they want present themselves. What seems “silly crap photo” to you, might be “I want to show you that I’m fun” to them.
As far as I know the definition of “normal” is quite fluid.
I’m not trying to defend them, just learning to be more tolerant.
